Politie ontruimt gereedstaande hennepplantage in Mariaberg
[Maastricht | 21 februari 2026] De politie heeft vrijdag een hennepplantage opgeruimd die klaar stond voor ingebruikname. Buurtbewoners hadden de opsporingsdiensten daarover getipt.
De hulpofficier gaf na een vooronderzoek toestemming om het pand te betreden. Binnen trof de politie een professionele plantage aan die volledig klaar was om in gebruik te nemen. Hennepplanten werden niet aangetroffen. De aangetroffen apparatuur is ontmanteld en afgevoerd. Ook trof de politie andere mogelijk verdovende middelen aan.
De stroom voor de plantage werd illegaal afgetapt en is door netwerkbeheerder Enexis veilig afgekoppeld.

Police dismantle ready-to-use cannabis plantation in Mariaberg
[Maastricht | February 21, 2026] On Friday, the police cleared a cannabis plantation that was ready for use. Local residents had tipped off the investigative services.
After a preliminary investigation, the assistant officer gave permission to enter the premises. Inside, the police found a professional plantation that was completely ready for use. No cannabis plants were found. The equipment found was dismantled and removed. Police also found other substances that could be narcotics.
The electricity for the plantation was illegally tapped and has been safely disconnected by network operator Enexis.
